"The Roop" presents a new song and a music video: after two years, they sang in Lithuanian again.
Today, one of the most popular bands in the country, The Roop, presents a new emotional track "Šiluma" together with a stylish music video. The band sings in Lithuanian again after two years. According to the musicians, it reflects the desire not to forget their roots and at the same time to thank the Lithuanians who have always supported them.
"It's a song about warmth that stays in your memory for a long time. When a couple goes their separate ways and the conflict subsides, forgiveness, recognition of mistakes, gratitude emerges, warmth remains in the memory and within," the band’s leader Vaidotas Valiukevičius told about the song through his personal experience.
The music video created for the song "Šiluma" expands the cozy atmosphere of the song. Vaidotas, conveying the feeling, filmed alone in different parts of the city. The music video was created by director Saulius Baradinskas, who is well-known in the Lithuanian music and cinema scene and has already shot several award-winning clips, including the Eurovision hit song "Discoteque" by "The Roop".
"This video clip is personally very dear to me, because it frames our long friendship with Vaidotas. At the moment, there are changes in his life, so I wanted to make sense of and document a different Vaidotas, whom the vast majority don't see - when he leaves the stage, he is alone, serious and reflective", said Saulius Baradinskas about the idea of the script.
This year has been extremely productive for The Roop. The group released a new album "Concrete Flower" on digital music platforms, CD and vinyl record format, had many concerts both in Lithuania and abroad and released three music videos. "Šiluma" became the fourth, which marked a new stage for the group.
The Roop wishes everyone inner warmth.
